Marc Dorn has been involved with the environmental field in one way or another for the past 10 years. The one thing that has always been consistent is his approach to safety. He was first introduced to the Asbestos abatement field in 2003 when he worked with a security company at the Deutsche bank located at ground zero of the 911 disaster in NYC. This site was heavily damaged by the events of 911 and required a substantial amount of asbestos abatement before it was to be demolished. His interest in the field peaked when he realized how unsafe the conditions were and how he could possible makes a difference. He was introduced to a program in Brooklyn NY that would allow him to obtain his certifications in this field as well as acquire a job as project monitor for the deutsche bank building that was being abated. He made a difference at this position by being in charge of the workers safety and holding anyone who violated these safety rules and regulations accountable by NYC law. He would later utilize many of his other certifications such as lead abatement, Lead inspector, and mold remediation throughout the NY metropolitan area.
Due to health reasons not related to work, he decided to move to Maryland, closer to his immediate family. Always keeping the certifications he earned in NYC up to date, he was contacted in 2009 about an opportunity with an environmental company out of Baltimore MD. The wealth of information and knowledge he obtained by working hands on in the field of oil recovery and refinement as well as emergency response hazardous waste clean-up was invaluable. The most important achievement through this company was made when he met his partner and now wife Mrs. Aisha Dorn. From the start of they’re working relationship, owning a business in this field was clearly on their minds. Day in and day out they would discuss ways of making what they were doing at work more efficient and safer for their co-workers as well as themselves.
In the summer of 2012 the decision was made by Aisha and Marc to leave the company from which they learned so much about the environmental field and venture off into the world of business ownership for themselves where they now use that knowledge to serve Maryland and the rest of the DMV area offering a plethora of environmental services.
